J.S. Francis
Building an author brand and launch platform around a debut metaphysical fantasy series.
J.S. Francis approached us with a manuscript for Walkers of the Veil, the first book in the Veilwalker Saga, but no author brand, online presence or publishing infrastructure. Since May 2026, we've worked with him to turn that manuscript into a market-ready publishing project, creating the identity, platforms, messaging and launch materials needed to introduce both the author and the series.
Client: J.S. Francis
Project: Walkers of the Veil
Sector: Publishing and author marketing
Period: May 2026–ongoing
Role: Author branding, publishing setup and launch marketing
Current stage: Pre-launch and preorder preparation
The Brief
Francis came to us with a completed manuscript and a wider vision for a metaphysical fantasy series. Everything around the writing still needed to be created.
There was no author identity, social presence, media material or online publishing setup. The book also needed a clear position, a researched route to market and a practical plan for reaching readers beyond its initial release. Our role was to build that foundation and coordinate the different elements required to take the project from manuscript to market.
Our Approach
We began by defining how Francis should be presented as an author and how Walkers of the Veil should be positioned within the fantasy market.
From there, we created the author logo and visual identity, established Facebook and Instagram, and set up the project's Goodreads presence. We also prepared the Amazon KDP listing and wrote the biography, book description and Amazon copy needed to present both the author and the novel consistently.
A comprehensive 14-part media kit was developed to support future conversations with journalists, reviewers, podcasts, universities and other potential partners, including the author biography, press release, book information and the wider supporting material required for outreach.
We also sourced and coordinated the designer and artist responsible for developing the front and back covers, making sure the publishing assets connected with the positioning established for the wider author brand.

Results
The project has moved from a standalone manuscript with no supporting presence to a coordinated author and publishing platform.
Francis now has a defined author identity, active social channels, a Goodreads presence, an established Amazon KDP setup and a complete body of launch and media material ready to support the book.
The final publishing assets are currently being completed ahead of preorder activity and advertising. Outreach to reviewers, podcasts, media and universities will begin once the final book and approved extracts are available. Our work with Francis is continuing through the next phase, focused on launching Walkers of the Veil, building his profile as an author and developing opportunities around the wider series.
